Hindi Vidya volunteer – ZPP High School, Kanuru, W.Godavari Dist, A.P

Spandana Foundation have been helping various schools and colleges under Vidyalaya project for providing basic infrastructure required for students to have conducive environment and healthy atmosphere. Spandana took several projects like providing library, construction of rest rooms, construction of permanent tables for classrooms, providing protected water etc. These projects are been helping hundreds of students every year in the schools.

As part of this effort Z.P.H High School, Kanuru, West Godavari Dist, AP do not have Hindi Teacher for last 1 year. Though they do not have teacher, they have exam to be pass in 10^th class. The students are struggling to read Hindi language with out the help of any student. As it is a specialized skill even other teachers could not help. Though students have commitment to study well and prepare well for the final exams, there is a chance that these students may fail in their Hindi subject, as they have not got any teaching and advice on this subject.

Keeping in view the necessity of Hind Teacher in the school and to help the students to learn Hindi, we provided support for a Hindi teacher in 2008 for 3 months. As the school did not got any support or confirmation from the Govt of AP, Spandana decided to extend help for this year.

Under this program, Spandana will be providing salary for a supplementary teacher (Vidya Volunteer) to teach Hindi Language for the academic year 2009–10. The details of the project are been mentioned below.

Total Estimated salary for 10 months would 10 x Rs.1500 = Rs. 15000.00 ($320.00).

This project will make a big difference in the education standards of over 300 students this year.
