Spandana foundation is supporting Muncipal High School, Vengalrao Nagar, Nellore by providing 2 vidya volunteers. Spandana is providing formal education and good learning atmosphere in Govt. Colleges and schools under Vidyalaya project. This project is designed to provide basic infrastructure required in Govt. colleges and schools, so that underprivileged children who have no choice except Govt. institutions can get quality education.

As part of the above mission, Spandana is helping Municipal Corporation high school, Vengalrao Nagar, Nellore Dist to provide supplementary teachers to teach Hindi, Telugu, Social studies and Natural Science. The details of the project have been mentioned below.

Spandana received a request from Head master of Municipal High school, Nellore, to support a Vidya volunteer to teach Hindi, Telugu, Social studies and Natural science, currently this school had a strength of 400 students with just three regular teachers and are unable to complete academic syllabus for all the classes. Spandana local volunteers visited the school and convinced that at least 7 teachers are required to handle the strength of the school.

Total Estimated salary to teach Hindi and Telugu for 7 months: -7 X 1500 = Rs. 10,500.00

Total Estimated salary to teach Social and Natural Science for 7 months:- 7 X 1500 = Rs. 10,500.00

Looking at the students and teachers ratio in the school, Spandana Vidyalaya team decided to support 2 Vidya volunteers by providing monthly salary of Rs1500 to each vidya volunteer per month for 7 months in this academic year.

This Initiative will not only help 400 students to complete their academic year successfully, but also helps unemployed youth to get their livelihood.
