Srilaxmi, a poor, meritorious student completing her IInd year   MCA program.  Srilaxmi, a native of Pagidyala (village), Kurnool (district), Andhra Pradesh. Her father, V. Kesavaiah is a drunker and is of no help to the family. Her Mother, V. Ramanamma sells home made sweets at local government offices and shops. Their household monthly income is ~ Rs. 1500. Srilaxmi’s enthusiasm is un-shattered to achieve her goal of completing MCA and be successful in life though her family background and financial issues are working against her.   Srilaxmi has one younger sister and one younger brother. Her sister is in her 1st year B.Sc Computer Sciences at Vasavi Mahila Kalasala, Kurnool. Her brother is in his 10th class at Ravindra public school, Kurnool. Her sister works part time at a local internet center to support herself and her brother’s education.

Srilaxmi lives in a hostel far away from her college as she was able get a free accommodation with local help. Srilaxmi used to work part time at Ravindra Public school to support herself and her brother when she was at Kurnool. She is currently looking for similar opportunities at Hyderabad near her hostel.

In spite of getting an EAMCET rank of 26,000, her sister compromised on her Engineering due to their inability to pay the fee and joined in Degree at local college. Srilaxmi’s mother effort to provide quality and good education to her children was impressed to Spandana and decided to extend the helping hand for her education.
