Spandana foundation is seeking donations for supporting meritorious poor Engineering student who is in 1^st Year of Engineering at Priyadarsini Engineering College, Nellore, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The details of the student and her credentials are been mentioned below.

Sahithi Chitturi, a meritorious poor student seeking help from donors to complete her Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Priyadarsini Engineering College, Nellore. Sahithi Chitturi, a native of Nellore of Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, secured 510 marks in 10th Class. She secured 907 marks in Intermediate and secured 20162 rank in EAMCET. Though there is a chance to her to get admission in a better college, she opted to join this college, which is 10 KM away from her house, to avoid burden of hostel fees etc.

Her father, who is a clerk in a cloth shop, has a monthly income of Rs 2,700 out of which they pay over Rs.1000 towards the rent of the house. Her mother is a Homemaker. She has a younger sister, who is in her 11th grade. Her father’s earning is only source of income to her family. With the small income, they are able to manage all family expenses and education till now.

As every student needs to pay the first year college fee at the time of the admission, they borrowed some money from relatives and sold ornaments to pay the first year college fee of Rs 30,200 /- at the time of admission. She needs to pay Admission fee of 1500 /- , Management fee of 5000 /- , Transportation fee of 4000 /- and Library fee of 2000 /- now. She mentioned that she will be able to manage Bus fee. She has shown a lot of interest in social service and ready to help students who are in need of support in their education.

Looking at her academic profile in her 10th Class and Intermediate and talking to her personally about the needs of her in her first year of Engineering, Spandana decided to help her for her 1st year of Engineering in paying the remaining fees. And we informed the student that Spandana will help her for her college fee next year depending on her progress in first year. This will reduce lot of financial burden on her and on her family so that she can focus on her studies and achieve her goal.
