Spandana Stars FAQ
Thank you verymuch for your interest to be "Spandana Stars" to make a difference!

"Spandana Stars" program is designed to help you raise funds for Spandana Foundation with online tools. You will have a personalized blog which talks about what is your involvement, what is your goal to raise funds for this year, your comments, your ideas on fund raising, where you stand in your goal etc. All these can be updated on the blog on your own or with the help of our dediacted web volunteer to help you post the blog. We will also enable blogging by your personal email at a future date.

Why do we need Spandana Stars?
Fund Raising is backbone of any nonprofit organization to succeed in the service and it is very important to have enough funding for the projects and for the continuity. So far at Spandana, all the funding is done by individual donations from donors like you and from fundraising through few events we organized. We are running short of fuds as we do not have dedictaed effort in fund raising. Spandana Stars program is dedicated to focus the effort and make Spandana a sustainable nonprofit organization.

Who can participate of Spandana Stars?
Any Spandana member can be Spandana Star who would like to be part of Spandana fundraising program.  Every one who is willing to be Spandana Star will get a blog and we will help you raise funds with all the tools and tips.

What is the fund raising target for Spandana Star?
Your goal can be any thing from 300$ 10000$. Is it possible to raise funds? Yes it is possible. 99% of the nonprofits having such programs could raise funds through volunteers like you. You are not required to have experience in fundraising programs before. We will help you with ideas, materials, fundraising clinics etc to help you with your fundraising. It is easy to meet the targets. After all you are setting the target for yourself.


What happens if I am unable to meet my fundraising target?
Spandana fund raising team who have been part of fundraising for Spandana in last 5 years can assist you and mentor for fund raising through out your fund raising effort till you meet your target. You can come out with any innovative programs, events, coupons, corporate matching grants to meet your fundraising goal. We have working models for majority of the fund raising ideas and we can help you achieve it. The cause - "Making a Difference in the lives of underprevilged in India in the areas of Education and Health"  will help us as a team to motivate people around us to achieve the target. If you could not meet the goal, not a problem, you can revise your fundraising target.
How can I raise funds?

Send your blog url to all your friends, colleagues and relatives. As you are working for a cause, we are sure you will be a special person in the community that you know and your efforts and involvement will be recognised by your friends, colleagues and relatives by supporting you to meet your fund raising goal. Where do the funds I raise go?
The funds raised will go towards Spandana projects.  Please learn more about Spandana projects at www.spandana.org. Knowing more about Spandana projects will help you in raising the funds.

How much money actually goes towards the cause?
Spandana do not have any employees in the organization. We at Spandana do not beleive in spending money in administrative expenses.  Our operating expenses are minimal and are covered with funds raised through special events like cricket, coupn seliing etc. Hence 100% of the funds you raise will go to projects.
