Spandana Foundation taken initiative to work with Chittoor NRIs (www.chittoornris.org) to organize multiple health camps in Chittoor Dist. The colloboration will involve various members of Chittoor NRIs organization and members from Spandana Foundation.

The first medical camp is confirmed for 14th February 2010 at Erracheruvu Palle school, Chittoor Dist.

Though we planned to have both General Health Camp & Eye Camp together, the ophthalmologist have concerns to combine regular health camp with eye camp as people take both the medicines and consume it though they should not take. So, we are organizing only eye camp but necessary treatment(for diabatics etc) for those people who attend eye camp will be taken care.

What do we do in  the eye camp program?

Pre-camp: - Print flyers in telugu and distribute in all the near by villages - Use 'Dandora' to announce i all near by villages - Hire an auto and announce in loud speaker campaign - Ask volunteers to spread the word in the villages Camp: - Organize a meeting to talk about eye camp, sponsors and importance - Coordinate with doctors and assistants for eye camp - Manage people to utilize the services of doctors - Facilitate for the aged - Give necessary medicines, eye drop, prescriptions for identified patients - Announce the date for collecting eye glasses, surgeries - Take photographs and cover it in media Post Camp: - Coordinate with doctors and patients on surgeries - Purchase eye glasses required for patients and handover
