We have designed a “Computer Learning – Summer Camp” under Pratibha project for poor students from rural villages.

As a pilot project, we are doing this summer camp at Nellure & Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh and Sholapur in Maharastra states.

Computer Learning – Summer Camp

Regardless of their experience and position, everyone should have some level of proficiency in personal computing skills to excel in their current job and maintain their competitiveness for career advancement

In the current fats moving world, everything is dependent on Computers. We all use computers for everything in our daily life. It even gets our bread and butter. What about the kids who do not know how the computer is and who do not even seen computers in their lives so far? It is just because lack of infrastructure in the rural schools. Can they take the challenge in the current career oriented higher education arena? If they want to learn, do they have affordability to learn computer courses?

We at Spandana evaluated the situation would like to take a first step in contributing a little from our end.

We have designed a “Computer Learning – Summer Camp” under Pratibha project for poor students from rural villages.

As a pilot project, we are doing this summer camp at Nellure & Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh and Sholapur in Maharastra states.

Students are going to get some of the following curriculum as part of their computer training.

- Evolution of computers

- Architecture of computers

- How to use Operating Systems

- Microsoft Office Suite (Basic usage)

- C/C++

- Computer Hardware and Troubleshooting

- Accounting Packages

All the students will get an opportunity to use the lab extensively.
