          Would you like to help the needy while playing cricket?
Here is an opportunity.... Spandana Foundation, a non-profit organization registered both in India and USA, is planning to organize a charity cricket tournament in a few places in USA.

Spandana executes 4 social responsibility projects every year.

  • Pratibha : To provide basic needs for poor and meritorious students
  • Vidyalaya : To provide basic infrastructure for educational institutions
  • Cheyutha : To provide basic health care in remote villages
  • Aashraya : To provide basic needs in natural calamity affected areas

    • Spandana sponsored 835+ students under Pratibha project in 2007-08 academic year back at home and proved that WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Spandana is planning to sponsor 1500+ students in 2008-09 academic year to prove that we can make even more difference. In order to raise the funds for this project, Spandana decided to urge people like you by organizing a charity cricket tournament for helping hand.

    Usually we play cricket for fun.... for exercise.... to enjoy the game... This time let's play to make a difference back at home by sponsoring a student.

    with the fulfillment of helping the needy back home!!

    10-10 Charity Cricket tournament details:
    ===============================

    •  This is a very short, friendly, fun filled charity tournament
    •  All Indians are welcome to support this charity activity
    •  Tournament will be organized some time in May or June
    •  Entries are accepted only from individuals (not from teams) to avoid seriousness in the game
    •  Entry fee for each individual is $15 - check favoring to 'Spandana Foundation'
    •  Each player will get a Spandana T-shirt
    •  Spandana Foundation will take care of organizing expenses like Balls, Drinks, Shields and Function
    •  There will be 4 groups in the tournament: Pratibha Vidyalaya Cheyutha Aashraya
    •  4 Teams in each group. 10 overs for each side.
    •  Captains will be announced thru lucky dip, again to avoid seriousness in the game
    •  Tournament schedule and rules will be announced later
