Spandana Supporting Two School Students at Arnakonda,

Spandana Foundation is supporting a poor, meritorious students who are studying 5^th and ^2nd class. Jansi High School, Choppadandi, Karimnagar (Dist), Andhra Pradesh, India. The details of the students and their credentials have been mentioned below.

Aravind is in 5th class and his sister Haripriya is in 2nd class. Their parents are Kashinath working as a clerk and Latha is a house wife. Their family income is Rs 1500 per month. They all live in a small village “Arnakonda”, Choppadandi (Taluk), Karimnagar (District). They are from poor family and are merit students studying in Jansi High School, Choppadandi, Karimnagar (District) which is around 5 kms from their village. These kids have to travel 5 kms daily as they don’t have govt. school in English medium in their village. All they have is one govt. school only in telugu medium up to 5th class.

Their father Kashinath, had an accident and got bone fractured in his right Thigh 4 months back. He already has Polio for his right foot.  He got the complete help from government’s “Arogya Sripathakam” for his treatment as they have white ration card. Since he is a polio patient, he gets financial aid of Rs 500 per month from the govt. Since their father is not able to work and support the family, their mother put a small grocery shop in their house itself. But she is not able to continue her kids education with the money she is earning from running the shop.

Spandana supported thee 2 kids  for 2009-2010. This is the second year that Spandana is supporting these students
