Spandana Foundation and TCA is doing this kind of event 2nd time in 2009 itself to raise funds for the underprivileged in India. The support from TCA core team is phenominal and very encouraging. Giriprasad Lankipalle mentioned that this specific fundraising event is to raise funds for AP Flood Relief and expected to have over 1500-2000$ from this event. Spandana involved in AP Flood Relief activities immediately after the AP Flood by providing basic necessities like Cloths & Groceries in Flood affacted areas. More details at - http://www.spandana.org/relief-activities.html. Spandana also given its consent to AP Govt to take up construction of 100 houses in Kurnool and Mehaboob Nagar districts.

As part of Spandana Foundation's fund raising efforts, Spandana screened Telugu mega movie - Magadheera in various parts of USA and organized Cricket events. All the proceedings of these events will go to Spandana Flood Relief Fund to support flood victims in Andhra Pradesh. The target is to raise 40,000 USD by end of December 2009. At this point of time, Spandana Foundation is at 33,000USD and request all to donate to reach the fundraiser goal. Donations can be done on www.spandana.org. Giriprasad laos mentioned that Spandana Foundation helped over 3200 students in over 20 districts in 2009 for their higher education and requested TCA members to involve in any projects to execute in their schools that they studied or the villages that they came from in India.
