Sheik Ashya Begam is a native of Nellore (Dist), AP. Shek Ashya Begam, a meritorious M.Sc.Biotechnology 2^nd Year Student Studying in Duvvuuru Ramanamma womens college, Guduru, Nellore District –AP. She completed her S.S.C, Inter and Degree with good marks. She is from agriculture family whose income is less than the expenses that they incur every year. She has one brother and one sister, her brother is studying and her sister is married. Parents do not have any choice than stopping her from education. Their only hope is organizations like Spandana and they are ambtious about Ashya will study well and help the family in very near future once she completes her education. She is very enthusiastic and hard working student and need help from Spandana to support her education.

Highlights of her education:

With all her hard work and parent’s support, she studied in Govt. school and successfully completed 10^th, 12^th class and Degree with good marks. She finished M.Sc. 1^st year with the help of Hyderabad Jakarta Trust. The last year only G.O. passed that Self support course is not eligible to get the scholarship. According that she didn’t get the help from Hyderabad Jakarta Trust and then she requested Spandana Foundation to help her support to finish her M.Sc. 2^nd year. She has great enthusiasm to pursue higher education and want to support family. As her financial position is very bad and is not in a position to support for her higher education. Looking at her profile and talking to her personally about her needs, Spandana decided to help her education.
