Spandana is supporting Four 1st Year Students from

Govt. Polytechnic College, Brahmapuri, Chandrapur, MH (2009-10)

Spandana Foundation is supporting four meritorious and needy students perusing First Year in Government Polytechnic College, Brahmapuri, Chandrapur Maharashtra. These four students were handpicked by Spandana Indian volunteer and suggested by college authority. The details of these students are mentioned below. The details of each student are given below:

Sukeshsini

Sukeshini Karmarkar , a meritorious but poor student with 86% marks in Std. X was forced to pursue Polytechnic and not Std. XII due to higher education expenses in engineering. She is supported by her father who works as a labor in small transport company earning meagerly for his family of four. In spite of these hurdles she has strong desire to study and support her family for all causes.

Rahul

Rahul Pawar, a good student with poor economic background with 71 and 75 % marks in Std. X and XII respectively opted for Polytechnic so as to stand on his own after 3 years of its completion. He is supported by his father who works as a daily wage labor. He has a strong desire of achieving his dreams and be independent and support his family. He has inclination towards involving himself with social service activities.

Sachin

Sachin Mohekar, a hard working student with poor economic background with 60% and 67% marks in Std. X and XII respectively opted for Polytechnic so as to support himself and his family. He is supported by his brother who left education to support his family since his father no longer works due to serious accident at workplace. His dream is to support his parents and family.

Shubham

Shubham Ramteke, a hardworking student with poor financial condition scored 72% marks in Std.X and opted for Polytechnic keep in consideration his economic condition and cost of higher education. His father is a driver at private company earning barely Rs. 2500/- a month. Although his parents are BA graduate but forced to work with meager salary and run their household expenses. He has a sister currently in 5th Grade.


All of the above students are seeking help from Spandana Foundation so as to support them in successful completion of First Year Polytechnic. Spandana Foundation is supporting each student by providing a scholarship amount of Rs. 5,000/- for this academic year to compensate for Development, Examination Fees, Books and Stationary expenses.
